Greg and Charmaine’s Wedding Flowers

Sunflower Floral Bouquet

A Happily Ever After Floral created the wedding flowers for Greg and Charmaine.  They were married in Jacksonville on Saturday afternoon on June 9, 2012. The bride and groom had been apart for quite a while as the groom was stationed in Washington state and the bride was here in Jacksonville putting the wedding together. They were definitely looking forward to this day so they could be together and not have to be separated any longer. I had a great time getting to know both the bride in person and the groom over the phone. They were both great to work with in designing their wedding day flowers.

For the bride’s floral bouquet we composed it of large and medium sized sunflowers. After we wrapped the stems with ribbon we placed delicate pearl pins all the way down the back side of the wrapped stems. It tied in beautifully to match the pearls on the veil and a few that were in clusters on the bride’s wedding gown.

The groom and groomsmen all wore Viking mums with a little bit of ruscus greenery for their floral boutonnieres. It was the perfect flower to match the bride and bridesmaid floral bouquets they carried.

At the altar we placed two large blue vases filled with sunflowers, white larkspur and a touch of ruscus greenery. They did not want anything too massive, since they were using the two bouquets later at the reception.

This was a classic sunflower wedding, perfect for the start of summer. We at A Happily Ever After Floral wish them all the best and always “A Happily Ever After.”
