A Happily Ever After Floral was part of another wonderful wedding on Saturday, August 25, 2012 in beautiful Jacksonville Beach, Fl. When I first met Judd and Len at one of the spring wedding shows, I knew we were going to have a great time creating their wedding flowers. They were so energetic and had some great ideas for their beach wedding.

Their day started out beautiful and had only a few white fluffy clouds in the sky. They were married around 5:00 pm on the beach in front of the Hampton Inn located in Jacksonville Beach, Fl. Len and his guys had staked out the beach area all day in order to have that beach location.

Judd wanted her bridal bouquet to be beach themed but also have a romantic look to it. So for her wedding flowers we choose to use ivory hydrangeas, lavender roses, dark purple dahlias and purple dendrobium orchids. We wrapped the stems with dark purple ribbon and had a sparkly brooch attached to the ribbon covered stems. I just love that the bride wanted to add some sparkle to her bouquet.

Judd had three bridesmaid bouquets, one Jr. bridesmaid bouquet and one bouquet of flowers for their white Maltese puppy dog’s collar. So for the bridesmaid bouquets we did a simpler version of the bride’s bouquet. We used ivory hydrangeas and dark purple stock together to create a pop of color against the bridesmaid’s lavender dresses. We wrapped the stems with dark purple ribbon. For the Jr. bridesmaid, she wore one of the dark purple dahlias in her hair. And finally for their cute little puppy dog, she wore a sparkly dark purple collar which we attached one deep purple hydrangea with a lavender ribbon and bow.

The guys all wore a light-weight linen shirt with khaki pants and the groom wore the same thing but with a khaki jacket. For Len and his groomsmen, we wanted to stay with the beach themed wedding flowers. For the groom he matched his beautiful bride. He wore two purple dendrobium orchids with a few bear grass loops. For the groomsmen boutonnieres, we used two lavender alstroemeria blooms with a few bear grass loops.

To mark the spot of the ceremony, we decorated the arch that Len had built. We draped ivory tulle on the bamboo arch and on each corner we placed one round floral arrangement. The flowers consisted of deep purple hydrangeas, white Casablanca lilies, lavender alstroemeria, purple snapdragons and assorted tropical greenery. On the aisles we draped ivory tulle to every other chair. Attached to the chair with tulle was one lavender alstroemeria bouquet.

Here at A Happily Ever After Floral we were so happy to be part of Judd and Len’s wedding day. We loved getting to know both of them and helping them create the perfect wedding flowers for their Jacksonville Beach wedding. We wish both of them a wonderful and happy marriage and as always A Happily Ever After…
